Creeps #2

From Image Comics in 2001, this horror anthology's second issue announces itself with a genuinely unsettling cover by Tom Mandrake: a shadowed figure in a wide-brimmed hat whose entire face is a seething mass of cockroaches, spiders, beetles, and worms, all rendered in a suffocating blue-purple palette with two pale, glowing eyes peering through the swarm. It's the kind of image that rewards a second look — if you can stomach it — and promises exactly the creeping dread that Dan Mishkin and Mandrake set out to deliver.
