In "Spragg Conqueror of the Human Race!", an outcast alien named Spragg is thrust onto Earth’s surface in Transylvania, where he enslaves the local villagers to construct a device that amplifies his already formidable powers. A visiting scientist, unraveling the threat, devises a way to stop him—leading to a final, desperate act that sends Spragg hurtling into the void.

In "Where Lurks the Ghost!", a man spends a restless night in a haunted house alongside its caretaker—only to realize too late that the caretaker has been dead for years. The story unfolds with quiet dread, as the line between the living and the unseen blurs in the dark.

When a writer picks up a secondhand typewriter that endlessly types the same desperate plea—"Help!!"—along with a single address, he can't ignore the call. Driven by curiosity and unease, he follows the note to a remote location, only to discover the typewriter's former owner caught in a perilous accident.
