Crazy Magazine #11
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMarvel's self-proclaimed "Magazine That Dares to Be Dumb" is in peak form with this 1975 issue, whose cover by Kelly Freas depicts total urban chaos — a jumbo jet trailing smoke, exploding skyscrapers, flames, and fleeing crowds — all surrounding a squat, deadpan little figure in a black cloak clutching a broom, standing serenely beside a "Keep America Clean" trash can. The gag is perfectly timed against the era's disaster-movie craze, with the cover cheekily boasting "Cast of thousands! Cost of millions! Two days in the making!" Inside, writer Bruce Carlin and artist/inker Robert Graysmith bring their own comedic sensibility to the proceedings, rounding out an issue that also promises Newsreels, selected short subjects, and — crucially — dead popcorn.
