Copperhead #8

Jay Faerber and Scott Godlewski's sci-fi western continues with a cover that puts a bloodied, snarling alien figure front and center — clad in battered armor and clutching what appears to be a weapon, this creature looks like it has been through something punishing and isn't done yet. Godlewski's linework captures both the menace and the raw physicality of the image, with Ron Riley's muted, dusty tones reinforcing the gritty frontier atmosphere the series does so well. Copperhead #8 makes a strong case that this corner of the Image 2015 lineup has plenty of teeth left to show.
