Copperhead #5

The fifth issue of Image's sci-fi western Copperhead delivers a striking cover by Scott Godlewski — a lone woman clutches a glowing light source as massive, shadowy alien limbs close in around her from every direction, with unsettling pink paw-prints scattered across the darkness. The composition is tense and beautifully lit, with Ron Riley's colors making that central glow feel like the only warmth in a very threatening world. Jay Faerber, Godlewski, Riley, and Thomas Mauer continue to build one of 2015's most visually compelling genre mashups.
