Copperhead #3
Scott Godlewski's cover for this third issue of Jay Faerber's sci-fi western puts the tension front and center — a red-haired woman presses tight against a wall, pistol raised and a glowing pink device clutched in her free hand, scanning for whatever danger lurks just out of frame. The warm, dusty palette and gritty setting give the whole thing a frontier atmosphere with a distinct futuristic edge, and colorist Ron Riley's soft lighting makes that neon-pink glow pop beautifully against the muted tones. If this is your first look at Copperhead, this cover alone makes a strong case for jumping in.
