Copperhead #1

From Image Comics in 2014, Copperhead launches its sci-fi western with a cover that immediately sets the tone: a red-haired woman in tactical armor crouches to examine a large, weathered skull among the rocks, while a gruff anthropomorphic alien in a white suit stands watch behind her beneath a desert arch. The dusty alien landscape and that ominous skull hint at a world where danger and mystery are baked into the frontier. Scott Godlewski's linework gives the scene a grounded, lived-in feel that pairs beautifully with Ron Riley's warm, sun-baked palette.
