Convergence Blue Beetle #1
Part of DC's sweeping 2015 Convergence event, this first issue brings together a wonderfully retro trio on Bret Blevins's cover: the blue-suited Ted Kord Blue Beetle leaping forward with his signature BB gun, Captain Atom in his silver form lunging alongside him, and the mysterious Question in his trademark hat and trenchcoat, ghostly energy swirling around them — all set against the looming silhouette of a giant beetle. Scott Lobdell scripts the adventure, with art by Yishan Li and colors by Dave McCaig bringing these pre-Crisis fan favorites back into the spotlight. If you have a soft spot for the Charlton-era heroes, this one's hard to resist.

In domed Hub City of Earth-4, Vic Sage reports on a stand-off between the Madmen and the National Guard headed by Captain Nathaniel Adam. As the dust clear, The Question sends Nate to Ted Kord. Ted demonstrates his latest attempt to crack the dome. As a result, Captain Atom regains his powers, but so does Dr. Spectro. As they begin to fight Booster Gold appears and Atom immediately blasts him. Blue Beetle arrives just in time to see Booster phase away and Atom and Spectro lose their powers again. Telos appears in person to deliver his fateful message and the dome begins to fall.
