John Constantine is hurtling toward us — cigarette still dangling from his fingers, trenchcoat billowing, expression caught somewhere between fury and panic — with the moonlit silhouette of Big Ben looming behind him and a shadowy figure lurking at the top of the frame. The cover tagline "Welcome back to London, John… it's a killer!" sets a perfectly menacing tone for "The Spark and the Flame, Part 3: The Big Smoke," brought to life here by cover artist Juan José Ryp's remarkably kinetic linework. Jeff Lemire, Ray Fawkes, and Renato Guedes deliver the New 52 version of DC's favorite occult schemer in what looks to be a genuinely dangerous homecoming.
