Blood and Ice" sets the stage for a brutal cold-weather showdown, and the cover by Jim Lee and Scott Williams delivers in full — Conan, sword raised and teeth gritted, throws himself against a massive, snarling bear whose glowing red eyes and exposed fangs fill nearly the entire frame. Snow swirls around the two combatants as the cover copy spells it out perfectly: "The Lion of Cimmeria versus the Bear of the Tundra!" It's a visceral, kinetic image from Marvel's 1989 run that makes this issue hard to put back on the shelf.
