Conan faces a skull-faced necromancer draped in a sweeping red robe on Geof Isherwood's cover for this 1988 Marvel chapter, the Cimmerian mid-swing with sword raised as a woman in yellow scrambles clear of the supernatural clash. "Wrath of the Necromancer!" promises exactly the kind of sorcery-and-steel confrontation the title does so well, with Isherwood's linework giving the skeletal villain a genuinely unsettling presence. A strong entry in the long-running series, with interior art by Val Semeiks inked by Isherwood and color by George Roussos rounding out the creative team.
