Conan faces down a horned, armored warrior across a stone altar where a woman lies captive — and looming above them both is a massive, ghastly supernatural presence with gaping jaws that dominates the stormy night sky. Bob Larkin's painted cover crackles with menace and makes the subtitle "Return of the Conqueror" feel genuinely earned. Rounding out this 1992 Marvel package is a bonus story, "The Hand of Nergal," with interior work by the celebrated team of Roy Thomas, John Buscema, Ernie Chan, and Joe Rosen.
