This volume collects issue #39 of Planeta DeAgostini's Spanish-language reprint series of Conan el Bárbaro, featuring the classic Marvel Comics adventures of Robert E. Howard's iconic Cimmerian warrior. The issue continues the ongoing saga of Conan's exploits in the Hyborian Age, presented in full color with original cover art and stories from the early 1980s Marvel run.
Conan the Barbarian #59 (1985), published by Planeta DeAgostini, features the titular warrior in a tale titled "La maldición." The issue is illustrated by John Buscema, with inking by Ernie Chan, coloring by George Roussos, and lettering by Agustín Zorzo. The cover is credited to John Buscema for both pencils and inks.
In "La maldición," Conan the Cimmerian takes shelter from a desert storm in a remote mansion, only to find himself trapped in a deadly game of survival. The Count's sinister intentions unfold as Conan faces a monstrous creature lurking beneath the estate's foundations.
In the mountainous realm of Berthalia, Conan answers a king’s desperate call to rescue his captive queen from the dreaded wizard said to dwell in the high peaks. What begins as a perilous climb into legend soon unravels into a hidden truth—beneath the wizard’s cloak of sorcery lies a lover’s secret, and a choice that tests loyalty and honor.
