This volume collects issue #39 of Planeta DeAgostini's Spanish-language reprint series of Conan el Bárbaro, which originally ran from 1984. It continues the adventures of Robert E. Howard's iconic Cimmerian warrior in a sword-and-sorcery setting, featuring classic tales from the Marvel Comics era translated for a Spanish audience.
Conan the Barbarian #37 (1984) features the titular warrior in a tale titled "¡El viento en la montaña!" with art by John Buscema, who also handled the cover pencils and inks. The issue includes contributions from writer J. M. DeMatteis and Enrique Velón, with inking by Bob McLeod, coloring by George Roussos, and lettering by Agustín Zorzo.
In "¡El viento en la montaña!", Conan returns to the crumbling city of Pergona, where his old ally Murilo and the once-lithe Jenna now rule as portly, uneasy monarchs. When citizens begin dying under mysterious circumstances, Conan joins Murilo and a small band to investigate, venturing into treacherous caverns where they face strange creatures and are ultimately captured by the enigmatic Elaynia.
In "La guerra de la eternidad," Conan is drawn into a deadly tale of ancient vengeance when Eilaynia recounts the forgotten war between the lost realm of Nincenno and the sorceress Mayella. As their passions ignite and her dark influence takes hold, Conan is swept into a battle that blurs the line between loyalty and fate. With lives hanging in the balance and destiny itself at stake, the past refuses to stay buried.
