This volume collects Conan el Bárbaro #39, part of Planeta DeAgostini's Spanish-language reprint series of the classic Marvel Comics run. It continues the adventures of Robert E. Howard's iconic Cimmerian warrior, featuring sword-and-sorcery tales from the 1980s era of the series.
Conan the Barbarian #30 (1984) features the Cimmerian in "El cimmerio contra la ciudad," a tale written by Roy Thomas, Beatriz Oberlander, and Norvell Page, with art by John Buscema, inks by Ernie Chan, and colors by George Roussos. The issue presents Conan in a story set within a city, illustrated with the distinctive style of John Buscema, and includes cover art by Buscema and Joe Rubinstein.
In "El cimmerio contra la ciudad," Conan finds himself trapped in a city of treachery, where Tossa and Erfu conspire to break him. With the help of a priest’s enchanted ears, he turns the tide against King Aosoka—only to flee the capital with the aid of the mysterious Thanamund.
In "¡El retorno del dios oso!", Conan finds himself entangled in a city ruled by a forgotten cult, where the people are drugged and enslaved by the will of a buried god. When he frees Niord and his followers from the lotus haze, the tide turns—leading to a violent uprising that reshapes the city’s fate. As rival factions clash and betrayal looms, Conan must rely on unexpected allies to survive the storm he’s unleashed.
