Conan el Bárbaro #12
This volume collects Conan el Bárbaro #39, part of Planeta DeAgostini's Spanish-language reprint series of the classic Marvel Comics run. It continues the adventures of Robert E. Howard's iconic Cimmerian warrior in the Hyborian Age, featuring sword-and-sorcery tales originally published in the 1970s and 1980s.
Conan the Barbarian #12 (1983) features the titular warrior in "¡La muralla negra de Khemi!", a tale written by Roy Thomas, Ángeles Aledo, and Moncho Cordero, with artwork by John Buscema, Ernie Chan, and George Roussos, and lettering by Agustín Zorzo. The cover, also by Ernie Chan, depicts Conan in a dramatic, action-filled scene.
In "¡La muralla negra de Khemi!", Conan awakens to a dream visit from Thoth-Amon, whose cryptic warning leads him to the black-walled port city of Khemi. There, he and Belit race to save Neftha from a Stygian vessel, battling a monstrous sea-serpent and setting fire to the city’s navy in a blaze of steel and sorcery.
In the shadow of the river Styx, the city of Khemi trembles as hawk-riders of Harakht snatch Belit from the streets. Conan, blood on his blade and fury in his eyes, cuts down a rider and a monstrous hawk before facing a deadly crocodile in the river’s depths. Now, with Belit held in the sky-born grasp of Harakht’s winged hunters, Conan readies himself to storm the heights and reclaim her.
