In "Trollmannen og sjelen," young Conan steals his way through the streets of Arenjun until a rumor leads him to the Eye of Erlik, a powerful talisman held by the wizard Hisarr Zul. When rival thieves—Ajhindar, Isparana, and Karamek—converge on the same prize, Conan is outmaneuvered and captured, his soul imprisoned in a mirror. Forced to serve Hisarr Zul, Conan must now reclaim the talisman from Isparana, who has fled with it, while trapped in a realm between life and death.

In "Svart lotus og gul død," Conan journeys to a sun-scorched oasis where he outwits the sorcerer Isparana, swapping the powerful Eye of Erlik for a counterfeit. Captured by slavers and freed by the enigmatic Turanian soldier Arsil, Conan returns to Arenjun to deliver the talisman to Hisarr Zul—only to find himself betrayed and hunted.

In "Zamboulas trone," Conan awakens in the grip of Zafra the wizard, subjected to torment before Zafra’s sudden self-destruction by his own cursed blade. Freed but not safe, Conan finds himself caught in a storm of rebellion as nobleman Balad rises to overthrow Akter Khan. As blood spills and power shifts, Conan and Isparana navigate the chaos, guiding the uprising toward a new ruler—Jungir, the son of the fallen khan.
