In "Guden i djupet," King Conan returns to Aquilonien from his journey to the new world to find the city in ruin, its streets ruled by crime and a sinister Turanian nobleman, Ahkmet Ta, who has seized the throne and the queen with the aid of the deadly Dödskallens brödraskap. With the help of a ragtag army of rats, Conan sets out to reclaim his kingdom in a tale of vengeance, power, and the dark magic that now shadows his homeland. Written by Gerry Conway and Hårdråde, with art by Mike Docherty and inks by Ernie Chan, this 1996 issue features a striking cover by Douglas Beekman.
