Conan och Elric rider mot den sjunkna staden Yagala och har en stor uppgörelse med drottning Xiombarg, prins Gaynor, Kulan-Gath och drottning Terhali. När striden går dåligt för hjältarna griper kosmoslorden Arkyn in och tar Zephras kropp i besittning för att kunna besegra Terhali. Påfrestningen blir dock för stor för Zephra och hon dör. Elric återvänder hem till sin värld i en annan dimension och Conan för Zephras kropp hem till hennes far Zukala.
