Conan #11/2002
In "Trollkvinnens historie," dark magic stirs as Mad Zandra begins her sinister lessons with the young Prince, while Conan hunts for Taurus with the aid of Dexitheus and his Black Dragons. As the search intensifies, Zandra transforms Taurus into a black goat to hide him from his father—only for Conan to outwit her and burn her cottage, trapping the beast within. Though Taurus attempts to reclaim his true form using Zandra’s grimoire, the spell is cut short, leaving him with a goat hoof. When Zandra tries to reclaim her prize with a powerful amulet, she unwittingly captures Conan’s other son, Conn, instead.
In the shadow of the gallows, Prince Conn vanishes mid-execution, reappearing in the wilds before the enigmatic Mad Zandra. With the truth of his father’s murder still uncertain, Conn flees toward the throne, only to be intercepted by his brother Taurus—who sees Conn not as kin, but as a threat to his own claim. As the two brothers clash, Zandra’s strange power pulls Conn away once more, leaving King Conan staring at empty air, haunted by a vision he cannot explain.
