In "Ildprøven," King Conan, recovering from a poisoning, sets out to avenge Prince Conn’s death, suspecting Baron Aemilius as the culprit. When the Baron demands a trial by ordeal, the waters turn treacherous—Conan pulls him from drowning not to judge, but to force answers.
