In "Rovdyrkongen av Abombi!", Conan and Belit launch a daring assault on the Beast-King’s fortress, but their mission takes a deadly turn when Belit is seized and Conan is thrown from a cliff. With the tide of battle turning, the corsairs Zula, Yarunga, Lasanga, and Ajonga press forward into the heart of Abombi’s savage domain.

In "Nådegaven," Conan finds himself torn between loyalty and friendship when his old companion Aristus is captured after a failed rebellion in Argos. With the king refusing to spare Aristus’ life, the condemned man is granted one final wish: to die by Conan’s hand rather than the hangman’s noose.
