From the World of Black Hammer comes this penultimate chapter of Jeff Lemire and Tyler Crook's cosmic meditation, with Crook's cover offering a quietly haunting image: a white-haired Colonel Weird in his red spacesuit stands alone atop a tiny spherical world — complete with a gas station sign — while disembodied eyeballs drift through a star-scattered green void alongside a distant ringed planet. The playful note "with apologies to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry" winks at the cover's clear Little Prince inspiration, giving the whole scene a bittersweet, dreamlike quality. It's a beautifully strange send-off image for one of 2021's most thoughtful superhero miniseries.
