Cloak and Dagger #6

Part of Marvel's 1986 25th Anniversary celebration, this issue of the series pairs light and darkness in a way few titles could pull off. The cover by Rick Leonardi and Terry Austin is a striking composition: a luminous, white-costumed Dagger blazes with radiant light at the center, caught between the massive, shadowy form of Cloak's enveloping darkness and a menacing green-tinted figure whose clawed hand reaches toward her. Writer Bill Mantlo's "Festival!" promises the kind of charged, atmospheric storytelling that made this duo such a compelling corner of the Marvel universe.
