This eighth issue of the Spanish comics magazine Cimoc, published by Norma Editorial in 1988, continues the anthology series featuring a mix of serialized and standalone stories from various creators. It includes installments of ongoing series as well as short works, typical of the magazine's format that showcased both Spanish and international talent during the late 1980s.
Safari" is a 1988 issue from Norma Editorial's Cimoc series, featuring artwork and writing by Vittorio Giardino alongside contributions from Narcís Fradera and Fernando Fernández. The story presents a narrative involving characters from the series, illustrated with Giardino’s distinctive style and rendered in ink by him, with lettering by Fernández. The cover, also by Manfred Sommer, features penciling and inking by the same artist.
In 1970s Laos, Frank Cappa joins an American unit hunting the Ho-Chi-Minh Trail, only to witness their brutal campaign against a village. When he saves Kim, a local villager, the two flee into the jungle, only to be captured by the Viet Cong and forced into slave labor. Their fate takes a sudden turn when Kim’s lover, Phuong, risks everything to rescue them—paying a terrible price.
