About this Collection

This collection gathers the first story arcs from the 2017 Archie Horror anthology series, featuring a mix of standalone horror tales and serialized narratives that expand the publisher's darker universe. Writers and artists including Cullen Bunn, Joe Eisma, and Jack Morelli contribute to stories that blend supernatural chills with the familiar Archie house style, offering a gateway into the line's more macabre corner.

In "Behold the Beast," Sabrina spins a chilling tale of deception and dread as Stanley confronts his uncle Bruce at a party—only to be left with unexplained marks and a story no one believes. Written by Frank Doyle and illustrated by Dan DeCarlo with inks by Rudy Lapick and letters by Bill Yoshida, the story unfolds with eerie precision, blurring the line between myth and madness. The haunting cover by Francesco Francavilla captures the moment just before the truth is revealed.

Sabrina tells another terrifying tale: at a party, a boy named Stanley meets his uncle Bruce, who grows fangs, hypnotizes him and leaves him with two marks on his neck. Stanley accuses Bruce of being a vampire, but scientific tests prove that the wound was caused by a carving fork. Everyone, including Stanley, thinks he must have blacked out and accidentally stabbed himself with the fork. But when they're alone, Bruce admits that he stuck the fork in Stanley's neck, so that after he actually sinks his fangs in, no one will ever believe Stanley's story.
