“Behold the Beast”

"Behold the Beast" kicks off a chilling chapter in Sabrina’s spooky storytelling, as the teenage witch recounts a nightmarish encounter at a party where her cousin Stanley claims his uncle Bruce is a vampire. With Dan DeCarlo’s expressive art and Rudy Lapick’s sharp inks bringing the eerie tension to life, the tale unfolds with a chilling twist: a seemingly mundane wound from a carving fork hides a far more sinister truth. Written by Frank Doyle and lettered by Bill Yoshida, this 1972 classic delivers dread with a quiet, unsettling precision. Cover by Dan DeCarlo.

Sabrina tells another terrifying tale: at a party, a boy named Stanley meets his uncle Bruce, who grows fangs, hypnotizes him and leaves him with two marks on his neck. Stanley accuses Bruce of being a vampire, but scientific tests prove that the wound was caused by a carving fork. Everyone, including Stanley, thinks he must have blacked out and accidentally stabbed himself with the fork. But when they're alone, Bruce admits that he stuck the fork in Stanley's neck, so that after he actually sinks his fangs in, no one will ever believe Stanley's story.
