Chew #49

Rob Guillory's cover for Chew #49 sets a deliciously unsettling table — a grinning, white-coated figure presents a roasted bird on a platter, its ghostly tail curling upward while a small, bloodied eye stares out from the cavity. John Layman and Guillory's long-running Image series has always mixed food, crime, and the grotesque with razor-sharp wit, and this 2015 installment of "Chapter 4" looks to keep that appetite well fed.
