Champions #6

The young Champions find themselves surrounded and outnumbered on Humberto Ramos's tense cover, with Ms. Marvel's embiggenned fist blazing at center while Amadeus Cho's Hulk looms protectively behind her — Miles Morales's Spider-Man, Viv Vision, Nova, and the young Cyclops rounding out the team as shadowy red-clad figures close in from all sides. There's real electricity in the composition, the spotlight casting the heroes as defiant underdogs against whatever threat has them cornered. Mark Waid and Ramos continue their run with this sixth issue, and if the cover's anything to go by, the Champions are about to earn that "Because the world still needs heroes!" banner the hard way.
