Simple Snitz, the screw-ball detective, takes on the case of toys vanishing from a department store and disguises himself as a toddler to investigate. His undercover work takes a chaotic turn when he gets a little too distracted by a toy roadster, but a collision leads him straight to the thief.
When Robinhood Jones stumbles upon three of Marco Lopez's thugs shaking down a laborer named Tom Snead, he and his aides leap to the rescue—but their good deed draws unwanted attention from the loan shark himself. Determined to stop Lopez's predatory grip on the city's poor, Robinhood and his crew uncover a web of corruption that reaches all the way to the sheriff's office, leading to a daring midnight raid on the loan shark's files. As evidence mounts, Lopez springs a trap of his own, forcing Robinhood and his men into a battle of wits and fists to bring the crooked operation down.
