“The Beasts from Planet 9”

In "The Beasts from Planet 9," the Challengers of the Unknown team up with honorary member June Robbins to track a mysterious burglar who can walk through walls, leading them to an abandoned lab once run by the reclusive Prof. Macon. With Jack Kirby’s dynamic art and Wally Wood’s sharp inks bringing the eerie lab and its hidden inventions to life, the team faces off against the thief Anton Zammer, who uses a shrinking ray to trap them—only for June to outwit him and help turn the tide. The cover, a striking Kirby double-draw, captures the moment of confrontation with dramatic flair.

After hearing a television report about a burglar with the ability to walk through walls, the Challengers patrol the city with honorary member June Robbins accompanying them. They arrive too late to stop another robbery but pursue the thief, Anton Zammer, to his hideout, an abandoned laboratory owned by the late Prof. Macon, who left behind a number of inventions Zammer intends to use for his own gain. Zammer uses a shrinking ray to capture and cage the Challs, but June escapes the same fate, assisting the team in returning to their normal size and capturing Zammer.
