Challengers of the Unknown #63
In "None Shall Escape the Walking Evil," the Challengers of the Unknown face a terrifying resurrection when the Legion of the Weird brings back Mistress Wycker—only for Count Karnak to summon the mummy Tukamenon to destroy them. Written by Arnold Drake and illustrated by Bob Brown, with inks by Jack Abel and lettering by Milt Snapinn, this 1968 DC classic pits the team against a cursed revenant, a hidden enemy in plain sight, and a brother’s sacrifice that changes everything. The cover by Bob Brown and Mike Esposito captures the dread of a battle where the living and the undead collide.

After the Legion of the Weird resurrects Mistress Wycker, Count Karnak calls on Kaftu to revive the mummy Tukamenon, who the Legion sends out to destroy the Challengers. Kaftu follows and uses his ruby to blind Tino, then both villains flee. Red donates an eye to his brother. While they recover, the mummy bursts in. As the Challs battle the mummy, Red is rushed out by his nurse, but it's Mistress Wycker in disguise. In the brawl, the mummy is released from Kaftu's power and he runs to punish him. The villains have Tino, but Red says he can find his brother because he now sees what Tino sees.
