Challengers of the Unknown #4
In "Exposé," writer Steven Grant and Len Kaminski, with art by John Paul Leon and inks by Shawn Martinbrough, turn the spotlight on the Challengers of the Unknown through the eyes of journalist Nina Justis. After being publicly discredited as an alien abductee, Nina sets out to expose the heroes with a documentary—only to find their legacy as elusive as the mysteries they’ve faced. The cover by John Paul Leon and Shawn Martinbrough captures the tension of a truth that may be stranger than fiction.

Writer Nina Justis was debunked as an "alien abductee" by the Challengers. Nina sets out to film a documentary exposing them. Rocky Davis, former Challenger, refuses to talk. So does Sarah Hargate, the Challengers' office manager. Nina interviews dozens of people from Challenger relatives to civilians they've saved. No clear picture of the heroes emerges. Finally Nina's docudrama airs on TV, showing a iffy recreation of the Challengers' plane disaster and light sighting. Ironically, Nina is plucked up to a spaceship and grilled by machine-aliens about the Challengers.
