Catwoman #6
Part of DC's sprawling 1994 "Knightquest: The Search" crossover event, this issue finds Catwoman mid-leap against a dramatic twilight sky, clutching a barrel marked "TOXIC" while massive, coiling mechanical or organic tendrils loom ominously behind her. Jim Balent's cover crackles with kinetic energy — Selina's curly hair and purple-and-black suit flowing as sparks fly around her above an industrial rooftop setting. With writing by Jo Duffy and inks also by Balent, Catwoman #6 promises a story titled "Animal Rites" that puts Gotham's most agile anti-heroine squarely in the middle of something dangerous and decidedly hazardous.
