Captain Marvel #15

Carol Danvers soars across this David López cover with her fist raised high and a wide, confident grin — her black-and-red uniform and gold star emblem gleaming against a backdrop of what appears to be a massive stone wing or statue. There's something genuinely uplifting about the image: pure forward momentum, no hesitation, just a hero at her best. Kelly Sue DeConnick, López, and Lee Loughridge make a strong creative team, and issue #15 looks like a fine place to feel that energy.
