After the downfall of the Secret Wars, Captain Marvel and the Carol Corps, fighter pilots of the Banshee Squadron, must defend and keep the peace in Hala Field under the directive of Victor Von Doom. On a routine training drill, they are interrupted by the Thor Corps, and their designated Thor, Kit, who has Captain Marvel and the Carol Corps investigating stars. Carol Danvers receives orders from Baroness Cochran to destroy a ship; however, Carol disobeys orders, and saves one man from the ship.
