Grimsdale orders the death of MI13 agent, John the Skrull, but Pete shows up to reveal that Grimsdale himself is a Skrull. The Skrulls begin a full blown invasion of Britain and the prime minister decrees that all heroes are now under the jurisdiction of MI13. Captain Britain, Pete, John and Spitfire are sent to keep the Skrulls out of the Siege Perilous which is the gateway to Avalon. Too late, the heroes discover that the Skrulls intend, not to enter the gateway, but to destroy it and Cap sacrifices himself to try and stop the Skrull missile. Dane meets Dr. Hussain only to watch her die.
