Candy becomes an ice cream vendor at a baseball game to impress a boy by bragging about selling it, but her scheme backfires when she accidentally hits a foul ball with the ice cream truck. Later, Candy's philosophy club holds a secret meeting at her house, but her father angrily discovers them and kicks everyone out, threatening to make the club "unanimous" by leaving. Candy manages to mollify her father by promising the club will work in silence in the dining room, though he remains skeptical and irritable throughout.
