When Ted Dawson, editor-in-chief of the Hartwick High newspaper, desperately needs glamour photos to fill the front page before deadline, he turns to two unlikely candidates: the spirited Candy O'Connor and the vain Cornelia Clyde. As Ted and his photo editor Orville attempt to capture the perfect shots—from a wild horse encounter to a pier photoshoot—the day spirals into hilarious mishaps that threaten to wreck both girls' dresses and Ted's peace of mind.
