In "Champ Cramps," Jo and Ted are determined to win the American Legion Outing and Picnic's grand prize—a motor scooter—despite their increasingly disastrous attempts at every event, from a beanbag race to a canoe challenge. As they struggle through one mishap after another, their friendship is tested, but their spirit remains unbroken—until a surprise twist at the end leaves them with an unexpected reward.
Ted Dawson scrambles to meet a last-minute deadline for Hartwick High’s school paper, desperate for glamour shots to fill the front page—until he recruits Candy and her rival, Cornelia Clyde, for photoshoots that spiral into chaos. As Candy’s antics with a horse and a wasp nest accidentally create hilariously candid images, Ted finds himself caught between pleasing Cornelia’s father and keeping Candy from storming off in a huff.
Candy is the class entertainment director, and her prank of claiming that the notoriously bad singer Marty Moan is performing at the school dance sends her classmates into hysterics—each girl swooning over the "dreamy" crooner with exaggerated, over-the-top reactions. As the chaos unfolds, Candy is left bewildered by the sheer absurdity of her friends’ behavior, especially when Marty himself shows up and unexpectedly thanks her in front of the entire audience.
In "A Little Less Auction," Candy O'Connor insists on staying home to help her mother with housework so her father can play golf, but she’s secretly planning to attend an auction sale instead. When her father catches her in the act, the two bicker over money and priorities, leading to a chaotic scene at the auction where Candy’s competitive spirit gets the best of her.
