Camelot 3000 #3

The third chapter of DC's ambitious 12-part maxi-series finds a determined, golden-bearded King Arthur — clad in red and blue armor and gripping Excalibur — commanding the foreground of Brian Bolland's striking cover, while a group of silhouetted figures loom dramatically behind him in a flash of light. Bolland's clean, precise linework gives Arthur a fierce, resolute expression that hints at the challenge of reassembling his legendary knights in the year 3000. Mike W. Barr's "Knight Quest!" promises exactly the kind of adventure the title suggests — and with Tatjana Wood's vivid colors bringing it all to life, this issue is a fine showcase for one of 1983's most distinctive comics collaborations.
