The fifth album in Laudec and Cauvin's beloved Belgian series finds young Cédric sitting beside his snoozing grandfather, butterfly net in hand and a mischievous glint in his eye — a perfectly observed snapshot of childhood patience (or the lack of it). Titled Korte Sladood ("Short Nap" in Dutch), the cover captures that gentle, warm humor the series does so well, with Grandpa blissfully unaware of whatever scheme is brewing. Published by Dupuis in 2002, this is a charming addition to one of Franco-Belgian comics' most endearing family comedies.
