The fourth album in Laudec and Cauvin's charming Belgian series finds young Cédric in wonderfully chaotic domestic territory, as the title "Een Papa Eerste Klas!" — "A First-Class Dad!" — sets a playfully ironic tone. The cover says it all: a dark-haired man triumphantly brandishing a hammer while balancing on a chair, as little blond Cédric ducks and cringes below him, a framed picture propped nearby suggesting a home-improvement project gone gloriously wrong.
