The sixth volume of Laudec and Cauvin's charming Belgian series delivers a perfectly timed visual joke right on the cover: poor Cédric stands with a melting ice cream cone plopped messily on his head, while the dark-haired girl in the red dress marches past him, coolly enjoying her own treat without a second glance. "Warm en Koud" — warm and cold — couldn't be better illustrated than by this one small, relatable disaster of a summer's day.
