This collection presents the third story arc of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8, titled 'Wolves at the Gate.' Written by Joss Whedon and Drew Z. Written by Drew Goddard and illustrated by Georges Jeanty, with inks by Andy Owens and colors by Michelle Madsen, this 2008 issue blends eerie tension with the series’ signature mix of supernatural stakes and personal stakes. The cover, by Jo Chen, captures the haunting mood of the story with a striking, moody image.
In "Wolves at the Gate Part Two," Jo, one of Buffy’s slayers, follows a trail of blood and shadow through Japan, hunting the vampires responsible for the attack on Buffy in Scotland. Meanwhile, Xander ventures into the unknown, seeking answers from Dracula himself—only to find that some ancient secrets come with a price.
