About this Collection

This second volume of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight collects issues #6–10 of the canonical comic-book continuation, focusing on the rogue slayer Faith as she is recruited by Giles for a dangerous mission against a wealthy, magic-wielding enemy. The story deepens the season-long arc of the newly empowered slayer army and the mysterious Twilight threat, with scripts by Brian K. Vaughan and Drew Z. Greenberg and art by Georges Jeanty and others.

In "No Future for You Part One," Faith confronts Lady Savidge in a brutal clash that ends in tragedy, leaving her shaken and vulnerable. With Giles stepping in to save her from Roden, Faith reconsiders her decision to walk away from the Slayer life and instead vows to help other slayers find redemption. Written by Brian K. Vaughan and brought to life by Georges Jeanty’s dynamic art, this pivotal issue marks a turning point in Faith’s journey. The cover, by Jo Chen, captures the intensity of the moment in striking detail.

Faith and Lady Savidge battle. Faith accidentally kills Lady Savidge and is almost killed herself by Roden until Giles saves the day. Faith decides that she no longer wants to "retire" from the slayer business but instead wants to try to save other slayers who are on the wrong path, helping them to use their powers for good. Giles agrees this is a good plan and will be her partner.
