Buffalo Bill confronts a Sioux war party led by the chiefs Red Cloud and High Back-Bone, who are determined to reclaim their hunting grounds from white settlers and burn Fort Phil Kearney. After the Sioux depart, an army troop from the fort arrives, and Buffalo Bill must warn them of the impending attack while dealing with supernatural manifestations—two ghostly, skull-bearing figures rise from the ground, causing panic among the soldiers and threatening to kill Buffalo Bill. With the aid of a medicine man named Grey Wolf and the bravery of the soldiers who throw themselves upon the risen spirits, Buffalo Bill manages to dispel the supernatural horror and save the fort from the Sioux threat.
