That stark red-and-black image says it all: two figures mid-air, locked in a fierce exchange of punches and kicks, bodies twisting with raw kinetic energy against a gritty urban backdrop. Image Comics brought some genuine edge to 2007 with this one, and the dynamic tension between those two airborne combatants makes it hard not to want to know what comes next.
