Blaze #6

The concluding chapter of the "Apache Autumn" arc arrives in Blaze #6, and the cover by Henry Martinez and Bud LaRosa sets the tone perfectly — a blond figure clinging to the back of a massive bear while sprawling across a snowy landscape, muttering a very relatable "Aww, CRUD." as enormous tracks stretch ominously across the snow above them. It's a wonderfully grounded, even wryly humorous image that captures the kind of rough-and-tumble wilderness trouble this series does so well. Larry Hama wraps up the three-part story with this January 1995 issue, promising an adventure that's equal parts gritty and genuinely fun.
