Johnny Blaze steps into his own spotlight with this 1994 Marvel Midnight Sons series, cover-penciled by Henry Martinez and inked by Bud LaRosa. The cover puts the blond, sunglasses-wearing Blaze front and center, raising a flaming weapon skyward amid a dramatic burst of fire and smoke while wielding what appears to be a large, ring-shaped launcher — a striking introduction to the character's solo corner of the Midnight Sons universe. Larry Hama scripts the opening chapter, "A Cold Blast From Ice Box Bob!," promising a story with plenty of heat to match that blazing cover energy.
